The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in recruitment is expected to improve the efficiency and consistency of selection, yet applicant reactions to it are mixed. This study examines the effect of AI implementation in the recruitment process on selection effectiveness and applicant satisfaction. A quantitative approach was used, with a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire distributed to 30 applicants who had experienced AI-assisted selection. After validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests, data were analyzed using simple linear regression in SPSS. The results show that AI implementation has a positive and significant effect on selection effectiveness (β = 0.450; p = 0.013) but no significant effect on applicant satisfaction (β = 0.052; p = 0.783). Organizations should complement AI with transparency and communication toward applicants. The low reliability of the instruments is a limitation of this study.
